Party In The Apocalypse will be a two-day, non-camping music and arts festival held on the first weekend of summer at Churchill Park, Launceston.
Festival-goers will be able to enjoy more than 20 local and interstate acts over the weekend as well as visual art installations, food trucks and pop-up entertainment.
The festival will be capped at 5000 people, and tickets are expected to sell quickly.
Artistic director Jesse Higgs said with the world looking like a different place in 2021 - with the onset of the current global pandemic - Vibestown would continue on the path of innovation and enrich the Tassie summer calendar statewide.
He said the organisers would work closely with the Department of Public Health and the state government to deliver a COVID-safe event to Tasmania, and confirmed the event would be subject to COVID-19 safety directions with any final restrictions announced before the event.
