The one-year-old was in a baby capsule in the back seat and was left relatively unscathed.
All occupants of the hatchback were taken to the Launceston General Hospital for observations, and the adults sustained minor injuries.

Sergeant Chugg reiterated the importance of the fatal five and said the incident could have been much worse
The road was cleared about 1.40pm and investigations continued into how it occurred.
"While the cause of the crash is still being investigated drivers should be mindful that inattention and distraction are one of the leading causes of fatal and serious crashes on roads in Tasmania," Sergeant Chugg said.
