The new series with the tagline "Shamed, disgraced, betrayed and broke - things can only get worse" will be produced by Archipelago Productions and is written by award-winning writer Andrew Knight who also wrote Rake, Seachange and Hacksaw Ridge.
The eight episode series will star Australian actress Marta Dusseldorp of Crownies and Jack Irish fame, who also wrote and will produce the show.
The series will be filmed on Tasmania's West Coast, with filming to begin mid 2022.
The star is currently in Hobart, with the Arts minister Elise Archer to make an announcement about the "largest ever production to be filmed in Tasmania".
