Jorjah Bailey, aged 16, was crowned club champion, however, a lady 80 years her senior also has champion status with a shared victory with Chris Carins in the nine-hole championship.
Jess Harris was able to win her own trophy at the age of 96! A wonderful effort.
Bailey defeated Angie Bowden in A-grade to go back to back while Mardi Wilks won A-grade handicap from Sally Gibb.
B-grade saw Liz Young salute from Julie Summers and Jenni Jago got the chocolates from Libby Lawson in the handicap.
C-grade saw Jude Pedley defeat Diana Hughes and Rebecca Gottschalk defeated Pam Doolan.
The men's championship was one of the best 36-hole matches seen for many a long year at Launceston.
Mitch Van Noord and Greg Longmore went toe-to-toe in the morning and after both shooting a round par in the morning 18, Longmore led one up and they came out in perfect conditions in the afternoon session to enthral the 100-or-so spectators.
Van Noord shot 34 for the first nine in the afternoon to turn two-up through 27.
They halved the next three holes and then Longmore won the 13th with a birdie and the 14th with a par to be all square after 32.
Van Noord birdied 15 to go to one up and Longmore birdied 16 to go back to square.
They both had great birdies on 17 and were all square going up the 36th.
Van Noord knocked in a 15-foot downhill slider putt for birdie to clinch the match one-up.
Van Noord had 70 in the afternoon and Longmore 72.
"Best match I have ever witnessed in a final," said club captain and referee, Martin Brown.
The A-grade handicap saw club president Tony Wilks emulate his wife Mardi's victory in the women's A-grade and not only went back-to-back in this event but in club senior titles.
Wilks was too strong on the day for Nigel Donachie.
B-grade saw Josh Upston win 5/3 over Peter Blackwell and Yash Naik won handicap over Sam Woolcock.
C-grade was won by Scott Callow, outlasting the wily veteran Graeme Bingley on the 21st hole. John Meadows won C-grade handicap 3/2 over Andrew Murray.
Best match I have ever witnessed in a final.
- Launceston club captain Martin Brown
