The data showed female employment in the state grew by 2400 for September, while the unemployment rate fell to 4.8 per cent.
Premier Peter Gutwein said while the data was extremely positive and encouraging, COVID-19 was an ever-present threat to employment, and said an ongoing investment in training and jobs was a focus for the government.
"That's 28,500 more Tasmanians employed than when we first came to government, and once again confirms our economy is strong," he said.
"With the highest growth in job vacancies in the nation, we are making key investments in education, skills and TasTAFE to ensure even more Tasmanians can participate in our growing economy."
