Jake Doran and Riley Meredith will make their return to Tasmanian colours on Friday night as the Tigers face Western Australia in a day-night one-day game.
The WACA contest opens the Tigers' one-day campaign and while the respected pair return, key members Jackson Bird, Tim Paine (both injured), Nathan Ellis and Matthew Wade (T20 World Cup duties) all remain unavailable.
The Tigers could also field a debutant for the contest, with 22-year-old Western Australian recruit Brad Hope named in the 14-man squad to face his home state.
Playing one first class game for WA in 2019, Hope was named player of the season in the WA Premier Cricket competition last year before moving to Tasmania.
The contest, which will be broadcast on Fox Cricket, Kayo and cricket.com.au from 3pm AEDT, comes after the Tigers batted out a draw against Queensland in the Sheffield Shield.
Scoring 120 runs in the first 50 overs of the final day, the Tigers' tactics left Queensland's Usman Khawaja feeling "rattled" and "disappointed", while Merv Hughes slammed them on Twitter.
"I gotta say I'm very disappointed in Tassie's approach to the game," Hughes' tweet read.
"Anyone can teach people how to bat and bowl but at first class level we have to teach people how to play cricket.
"Tassie had the perfect opportunity to do that today and in my opinion didn't."
