The Tigers made 7-259 and had Bracknell 5-44 before rain intervened.

"It was a good batting performance, obviously Jacko [Jackson Blair] led the way with his 100 so it was good to see him spend some time out there," Adams said.

Despite the Tigers' strong history, Durhams skipper Dylan Sharman is confident his side can cause an upset.

Last season, Legana dismissed Longford for just 112 and already have Brad Harrison with a 2021-22 five-wicket haul under his belt.

"For him to come and take his first five-for, especially when he was named in B-grade, that was outstanding," Sharman said.

Having the early bye, Perth coach Mat Devlin is ready to start the team's season against Evandale.

"We are just really looking to get out there and having a crack," he said.

"We always look forward to playing Evandale, a bit of a cross-town rival, and they are always rippers of games."

Opposing coach Jonty Manktelow added: "We had a close game against them last year in the night match and we think we match up pretty well against them so I think it should be a good encounter."

Manktelow was left scratching his head last week after several 10-over periods cost his side.

Taking 7-31 to dismiss Legana's tail, the Panthers started the chase strong with an 86-run stand before their own collapse of sorts.

After achieving something they couldn't last year, ACL are eager to repeat their performance against Bracknell.

Nashib Nisthar's opening pair of Matthew Oates and Aakil Fazal put on more than 50 in what was a solid team victory but the captain is still wary of Bracknell's bowling.

"We know they've got a really good bowling side as they came back strong against Longford, so we are cautiously looking to play a good game against them," he said.

Bracknell coach Brad Fryett was pleased with his bowlers and their performances despite Blair's chanceless century last week.

Crediting Blair's knock, the Stags' leader is looking for a stronger showing with the bat this week.

"This is a game where we feel we can be quite competitive in," he said.

"We had one close game with them last year and a washout, so we are feeling ok about our chances."

George Town coach Jack Hill is relishing the opportunity to face Hadspen.

Grinding out 163 after being 4-30 last week, Hill was impressed with his side's perseverance and is eager to test his side against the best.

"Obviously their line-up is still very powerful but in saying that, it looks very different to the last couple of years," he said.

"[John] LeFevre and Ando [Dane Anderson] at the top will be absolute key for their innings and hopefully we can put their middle order under pressure."

The Chieftains produced a round one win but had plenty to improve on according to coach Liam Reynolds, who was pleased to start some momentum.

"Obviously there was a bit of rust from a few of our bowlers ... it was good to dust off the cobwebs and get a good total on board and defend that," he said.
