The single mum from Hobart said she couldn't wait to say goodbye to renting and purchase her first home after winning $1,234,399.86.
"I am going to buy a house. I never thought I'd own my own house," she said.
The woman was one of five winners who split the division one prize and described the win as the best day of her life.
"This is absolutely massive. I'm a single mum, and I've been doing it tough, so this really is life-changing," she said.
"How am I going to go to work today knowing I am a millionaire, I think I will take the day off."
2021 has proved to be a bonanza year for Tasmanians with 14 division one winners raking in over $17 million to date.
The woman cried happily after being advised of the win and said she had already started looking at how the winnings would be spent.
"I want to go on some family holidays, and we could really use a new car," she said.
"I'll share some with my family and spoil my kids too.
She said the whole family was planning to go out for dinner to celebrate the win.
The women's winning numbers for the draw on 9 October were, 22, 40, 24, 18, 42 and 34, while the supplementary numbers were 37 and 19.
