A knife-wielding teenager has been accused of going on a crime spree across Launceston in the space of five hours.

The 13-year-old was arrested and charged with three offences, after another youth was threatened with a knife and had cash stolen at Newnham about 1pm Wednesday.
At 6pm, it has been the alleged the same armed teenager threatened a man in a carpark in Launceston, and attempted to steal his car.
Just 15 minutes later, police allege the youth then threatened a woman in a parked vehicle at Invermay.
None of the victims were physically injured, and the teenager was arrested by police at Invermay at 6.20pm.
The teen has now been charged with armed robbery, attempted aggravated carjacking, common assault and possessing a dangerous article.
They were bailed to appear before the Youth Justice Court at a later date.
