Luke Anthony Shaw, 29, is alleged to forced entry to a Karoola home about 5.30am on August 15.
Police allege he assaulted occupants with a Taser and stole money.
Police allege a 64-year-old man received a significant head injury during the incident.
Mr Shaw did not plead to 20 counts of breaching a family violence order.
Mr Shaw was unrepresented when he appeared in court and Magistrate Sharon Cure refused bail and ordered he reappear on October 21 at 9.15am.
