Tasty treats, tongue-tingling beverages, and fun events will bring Launceston to life in the next few weeks.
NORTH Festival, the brainchild of Cityprom and Eat It Tassie, was only announced in September but has come together in a month to run from October 13-27.
Cityprom marketing manager Larissa Murray said the festival was something the organisation had always thought about.
"We really wanted to create a festival where people could go into the venues as opposed to bringing people out of the venues, while playing on the food culture we have in the North [of the state]," she said.
"It was originally going to be much smaller, but it has grown."
The event has released its program line-up, with a smorgasbord of items on the menu.
"I'd definitely encourage people to look through the program and find an event or two you want to go to ... maybe something you haven't been to before," Ms Murray said.
Spread throughout the tasty selection are events that will be held continuously during the festival and include things such as the Three Cuts Takeover at Alchemy, a mystery Sips of the North tour, and a Tiki Takeover with Glazed and Confused.
Special one-off events include the Oyster Party, Mad Hatter's Dego, Spring Movie Night, East Meets South - which has sold out - the Long Table Dinner, and The Metz X Osare.
Designed festival menus will also be at venues around Launceston including Yorktown Square, Stelo at Pierre's, Saigon Kitchen, Devil's Door Cafe and Wine Bar, and Avenue Restaurant and Bar.
"We really just hope locals support the event. We wanted it to be inclusive for everyone to attend," she said.
If the event is well-received by the Northern Tasmania community, Ms Murray said there was the hope the festival would return annually.
