Tasmania's small business owners will have access to tailored financial advice supplemented by the state government as part of a new grant scheme.
The Small Business Advice and Financial Guidance Program will provide eligible business applicants between $750 to $1,500 to obtain financial and business advice, with $1.2 million allocated to the support package.
Small Business Minister Jane Howlett said the grant was in response to the impact COVID-19 was having on small businesses.
She said the purpose of the scheme was to assist businesses to recover, transition, grow or implement other strategies to address the impact COVID was having on their business.
The scheme includes funding for advice on risk management, strategic analysis, innovation, marketing, eCommerce and counselling to address financial or operational difficulties.
