Police have determined the report of a distress single from a vessel in Tasmania's North this afternoon as unfounded.
EARLIER:
Police are asking for assistance to find the owners of a vessel which sent out a mayday call this afternoon.
At 1.30pm maritime radio received a mayday call from a vessel named Stingray through a radio site near Beaconsfield.
Contact has been made by police with most owners of vessels registered with the name.
