Under the warm Queensland sun, Adelaide Crows reserves player Oliver Davis found fellow draft hopeful Will Splann for the opening goal of the game and Tasmania's only first term goal.
The Maroons pushed away in the second-term as they added four goals in a strong display despite Bailey Gillow dragging one back for Tasmania.
Queensland continued their emphatic performance as they added a few quick goals after the interval as Tasmania struggled to peg back the score.
Oliver Sanders, Jye Menzie and Davis added goals in quick succession to bring the Devils to life in the fourth term as they closed in on victory before Sam Tilley missed a long-range effort to win the game.
The Queensland and Devils players will be under consideration for the mixed Allies squad which takes on South Australia on October 2.
In the under-17s fixture, Tasmania enjoyed a comfortable win over a rallying Queensland to secure victory 14.12 (96) to 9.5 (59).
Tasmania opened the scoring early against Queensland while Declan Lee added a second from a terrific snap in congestion.

The Tasmanian side were never troubled as they routinely sliced through Queensland in the corridor through some quick hands.
Ryley Sanders and Colby McKercher were busy through the midfield and were well-served by Cameron Owen's tap-work as Tasmania streamed out of centre clearances with ease early on.
Entering the second quarter with a 15-point lead, Tasmania's forward pressure continued to be relentless as Seth Campbell (four goals) starred up forward.
Queensland's intensity lifted in the third quarter as they affected several chase-down tackles to control the possession early in the term. The Maroons added a few late goals in the quarter to be 25-points in arrears at the final change.
Queensland enjoyed a quick start to the final term to send a fright through the Tasmanian side. Heath Ollington calmed the nerves and became Tasmania's ninth goal-kicker with their 11th goal as Tasmania controlled the lead to the final siren.
