Tasmania Police acting Detective Inspector Mathew Adams, of Southern Drug Investigation Services, said a search warrant was executed at a Goodwood home yesterday following an extensive three-month investigation.
Police seized two shortened firearms during the search.
The 38-year-old woman was arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled substance, being in possession of a firearm and ammunition when not the holder of a firearms licence, and being in possession of a shortened firearm.
The woman was expected to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court this afternoon.
"Every street deal seized by police counts. It's one less deal of illicit substance available to our families, friends and our community," acting Detective Inspector Adams said.
"Police not only work hard to seize illicit substances, they also work to disrupt syndicates and networks responsible for the distribution of them."
