Police are continuing the search for George Town teenager Austin Giles who was last seen on Tuesday afternoon.

As of Thursday morning, police have been unable to locate the 19-year-old.
A Tasmania Police spokesperson said anyone who has seen him or knows of his current location have been asked to contact police on 131 444.
"Concerns are held for Austin's welfare as his family and friends have not been able to contact him since around midday yesterday," the spokesperson said.
They said there is nothing to indicate suspicious circumstances in relation to Austin's whereabouts.

Police are appealing to the public to help locate the whereabouts of Austin Giles with concerns for his welfare.
The 19-year-old was last seen in the George Town area on Tuesday at midday.
A Tasmania Police spokesperson said he was believed to be wearing a black puffer jacket, black track pants and white sandshoes. He was on foot when he left home.

"Austin's family and friends have not been able to contact him and do not know his whereabouts," the spokesperson said.
Police were conducting ground and air searches in the area last night.
The spokesperson advised if anyone had information about the whereabouts of Austin, or have had contact with him in the last 24-hours, contact police on 131 444.
