A 15-year-old girl who was sexually abused by her father has told a courtroom she feels unclean and is constantly afraid.
The teenager's father was last week found guilty by a jury in the Burnie Supreme Court of persistent sexual abuse of a child.
Crown prosecutor Peter Sherriff told the jury they would hear evidence of eight individual sexual crimes committed against the child between 2010 and 2017.

Mr Sherriff revised this number down to seven during closing statements on the trial, but maintained it was the Crown case the abuse had involved a number of instances of penetrative sexual abuse.
To be satisfied the crime had been proved, the jury needed to have been satisfied at least three of the occasions alleged had occurred.
While giving their verdict it was clarified they did agree that at least three had occurred, but the jurors had not agreed on which three.
On Monday the girl told the court she had spent much of her childhood afraid she "would get in trouble from dad for telling our little secret".
She said that in the years since she lived with her father, she continued to wake up fearful around midnight "because that's when he would come wake me up".
"I would feel very powerless and controlled by him. I felt like my dad's needs mattered and I needed to be perfect for him.
"I feel fear all the time."
She also said the abuse had left her feeling unclean.
"I felt the need to be extremely clean. I would stand in the bathroom for hours trying to get the feeling of my father's hands off my body."
In sentencing submissions, lawyer Greg Richardson said the jury had not necessarily found the man guilty of penetrative abuse.
He also said his client's crimes did not involve violence, nor were they "degrading" in his estimation.
Justice Robert Pearce remanded the man in custody and adjourned sentencing to October 5.
