The talented 13-year-old found himself struck down by injury at the start of the season and missed the league kick-off for the Launceston City Devils.
However, Lockhart turned a circumstance of misfortune into an opportunity to grow as he traded his playing boots for a coaching whistle at the start of the season.
The Devils were in desperate need of junior coaches to ensure their junior program kicked off and Lockhart was one of the people to answer the call.

Lockhart plies his trade for the Launceston City Devils Junior Soccer Club where he has turned heads with his feats on the field.
His form has been impressive enough to earn selection in the Northern Tasmania Junior Soccer Association representative team and compete in tournaments in Devonport, Hobart and Launceston.

While most people fancy a relaxing weekend, Lockhart can be found on the touch-line on Saturdays guiding his under-sixes during their games before taking up representative training on Sunday.
The hard-working Lockhart can also be found on weekends in the middle of the action refereeing junior games and for the NTJSA in the older age groups.
Aside from that Lockhart has tried his hand behind the camera with his photographs for the NTJSA during the 2021 season for their Facebook page.
People at the Devils' have spoken highly of Lockhart's "fantastic attitude" and describe him as an "amazing young man" with a terrific future.
