Natalie Maher, 46, has pleaded not guilty to the murder of her mother Veronica Corstorphine in South Launceston between October 3 and 5 in 2019.
Crown prosecutor John Ransom said the trial was expected to take the entirety of the October sittings and begin on October 12.
He said the Crown had provided eight volumes of material to Ms Maher's defence counsel Evan Hughes and were attempting to organise the trial around restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ms Maher was extradited to Tasmania in 2019.
Justice Stephen Estcourt remanded Ms Maher in custody to appear for a directions hearing on October 4.
