An inter-association event formed in 2017, the Hingston-Young cup celebrates the commitments of two prevalent badminton families and has been won by the North-West three times.
Thursday night's victory at Ulverstone broke the 2-2 deadlock, with next year's event to be hosted in Launceston.
Despite the decisiveness of the result, 10 of the 27 matches went to a third set and out of those contests, each side won five.
Coming out of the opening doubles rounds, the hosts held a 8-4 lead as a clean sweep of the six singles battles signalled their victory.
They extended their winning margin with round wins of 2-1 in the accompanying doubles matches and 4-2 in the full final round.
Utilising 15 players throughout the night with a minimum of 12 needed, the victors used their squad's depth to their advantage with five players winning all of their matches.
Team captain Brent Munday and Adrian Loane both competed in and won the maximum four matches, while Dean Gale, Scott Johnson (both three) and Sam Wells (two) also got their jobs done 100 per cent of the time.
Five Northern players - Ervine Cheong, Paul Kwok, Matthew Lo, Leigh Cornwall and Nathan Chatterton - won two of their matches, leading the side in wins as Cheong, Lo and Chatterton were all making their Hingston-Young cup debuts.
The North-West victory was made even more special following last year's shock loss which saw the hosts lose after being up 13-8 heading into the last six matches.
Both associations' mid-week competitions continue on, with the Northern grand final set to be played next week.
