1. Jazz Festival

The smooth sounds of Jazz will be heard throughout Longford when an annual festival blows through the town. The Longford Jazz Festival will run over three days and bring together musicians from across the state to play the genre of music they love the most. Attendees of the festival can expect a mix of jazz sub-genres and an ambiance created by passionate musicians and festival-goers. Tickets are priced at $50 for a weekend pass, $25 for the day only, $20 for two concerts, and it was $10 for the Friday night only. They are available via trybooking.com. 2. Soccer Tournament
September 17-19
Despite the absence of interstate teams, the annual Launceston Junior Soccer Tournament will break new ground and grounds this year. For the first time, more than 100 teams will take part with 240 matches taking place at three venues across the city.
3. Harvest Market
September 18, 8.30am-12.30pm, Free
Every Saturday the award-winning Harvest Market takes over the Cimitiere Street parking area to share fresh food and produce. Discover a wide range of vendors and local brands to support.
4. Stamp Market
September 18, 10am-3pm, Free
The Stamp and Coin Market will be held by the Launceston Philatelic Society at the Max Fry Hall on Gorge Road, Trevallyn. The event is free and will focus on stamps, covers, coins, postcards and stationary. The event will also include appraisals, valuations and advice.
5. MS Walk
September 19
The MS Walk, Run and Roll is designed to be inclusive for everyone to take part including those with wheelchairs, prams, and dogs. The event fundraises to fight multiple sclerosis. The 4.5-kilometre course will start at the Inveresk Railway Turntable and Roundhouse. There is also a 9.5-kilometre course - not suitable for wheelchairs - and a virtual option. 6. Lunchbox Concert
September 21
The Lunchbox Spring Series Concert will hold its fifth concert, The Luminous Harp, on September 21 in Hobart. For tickets visit trybooking.com.
7. Talent Quest
September 23
St Helens RSL is hosting a talent competition in September with a total prize pool of $1500. First prize will take out $1000 of that money. Auditions were held over the past few weeks with the final to be held this coming week. Auditions were open to any form of talent including singing, dancing, and comedy.
