The Blues, who played with just 17 players, fell to NWFL Women's premiers Ulverstone 3.12 (30) to 1.5 (11) at Penguin's Dial Park.
It was Launceston's first major loss for the year after an undefeated NTFAW campaign, which culminated in last weekend's grand final win over Old Launcestonians.
Dearne Taylor was Launceston's best with Madison Shaw kicking their goal, while Ulverstone was led by former AFLW listed player Libby Haines in defence and midfielder Candice Belbin, with Georgia Anderson kicking two goals.
Blues coach Mikayla Binns described the intensity that Ulverstone delivered to the contest as the same standard as in the TSLW.
Ulverstone will now play Glenorchy on Sunday in the statewide final.
