Going for consecutive flags under coach Kane Sanders, the Blues defeated the Kangaroos in a tight one to qualify for the decider.
"We are confident but we are obviously under no illusions that Clarence are a really good side," skipper Tom McShane said.
"We beat them to make the grand final but it was under a goal and they've beaten us earlier on in the year as well."
Clarence drew first blood against the Blues by 34 points in round six, but the reigning premiers have had the edge since then, with victories in rounds 13 and 20 before the qualifying final win.
Describing the Roos' game style as "similar" to his side, McShane is looking forward to a high-quality game of football.
"We back our own game plan and our own skills," he said.
"We've got a good program here and we've got a really strong team with no real weak links so if we stick to our game plan and play our best game of footy, we've learned that we can win.
"We are fortunate enough to have [Brayden] Pitcher, [James] Dowling and [Grant] Holt come back into our side, which they've obviously played a lot of senior games this year as well as Hamish Leedham as well in the ruck which will really help us out."
Naming a squad of 30 for the match-up, which features the seniors' emergencies and interchange, Launceston's list features 14 of last year's premiership outfit.
"Those who didn't play, there's quite a few who played in the under-18s premiership last year who are playing development league, so there's a lot of grand final experience in our team," McShane said.
"On grand final days it becomes a different game of footy, so to have the people with the experience there that will have a cool head under the pressure that always comes on a grand final day [is great]."

The 19-year-old leader was a member of last year's side that beat North Launceston, and almost got the opportunity to face the Bombers on grand final day again this year with Clarence just getting over the line against them last week.
Crediting North's effort, McShane admitted the closeness of the result surprised him.
"I expected Clarence to win that with a bit more ease than they did but North are a very proud club and with their seniors already through, they probably had their strongest D-league team all year against Clarence to give them the best chance of making the final."
