Bob Brown Foundation campaign manager Jenny Weber said takanya defenders were staging a peaceful intervention on the arrival of an ore ship, due to load ore from the Venture Riley Creek mine.
She said a person was attached to a ladder in the wharf area where the ship was due to arrive.
Three other people were locked in a stationary blockade at the ore storage site.
"Tasmania's takayna/Tarkine is under increasing threat by new mines and we will continue to stand up for the protection of this remarkable place that can and needs to be securely protected in a World Heritage listed National Park and returned to Aboriginal ownership," Ms Weber said.
"We are here to peacefully intervene on the relentless ignorance of mining one of the last wild places on Earth while the climate and biodiversity crises grip the world," she said.
