Power-hitter Ben McDermott has extended his time in the purple, signing on until 2024, joining skipper Matthew Wade and Nathan Ellis in adding some extra years to their deals this week.
McDermott, who was one of the players of BBL10, has played 78 T20s in his career, scoring 1726 runs at an average of 29.75 and a strike-rate of 127.75.
He scored 402 runs in BBL10, which included scores of 89 not out, 91 and 96.
"I'm really excited," McDermott said.
"Last year was a good season for me personally, but it was a bit of a heart breaker with it ending like that. We are a good team and we had some good performances last year, but unfortunately just couldn't get over the line at the pointy end of the season.
"It's great to see so many of the guys committing to this team from the long haul and that we're keeping so much of this core group together.
"That's hopefully going to give us the confidence and the consistency to put together a better tournament this year."
McDermott also recently made his ODI debut against the West Indies, and was also part of the T20I teams that played against the Windies and Bangladesh.
