Exhibitors are preparing their best blooms to be showcased and judged for the top prize.
An array of daffodils, camellias and other flowers as well as floral art will be on display to celebrate the arrival of spring.
The Launceston Horticultural Society is the longest continuously-running horticultural society in Australia, intending to spread the love of gardening and the skills associated.
The society puts on four shows each year - a Summer Show, Autumn Show, an Early Spring Show and a Late Spring Show.
It also holds other events during the year including monthly members meetings.
For member Norma Purton the event is a great event for families and flower lovers.
"It's a great chance for people to show off their flowers and the love they have put into growing and nurturing them," she said.

"This is our third show at Evandale as we held the show at St Ailbes [Hall] in the past.
"But it's great to have it at Evandale, as we have the hall and the grassed area out the front, so hopefully it's a sunny day."
The show will also feature live music, food stalls and vans and a wide variety of plants for sale.
Judging commences noon each day, with the best flowers of each variety crowned.
The Early Spring Show will be held at Evandale Memorial Hall on Saturday, September 11 from 2-5pm and Sunday, September 12 from 10-4pm. Entry is $3 at the gate.
