The funding comes as part of the securing Tasmania's iconic events $21.5 million fund.
"This year marks the 10th anniversary of the multi-arts festival which is held in Launceston from the 1-5 of September, and features theatre, dance and musical acts, and art installations with something for people of all ages," Events Minister Sarah Courtney said.
"Importantly it provides a welcome boost to the northern economy by supporting local artists and businesses, as well as providing an opportunity for the community to come together to celebrate the arts."
The funding allocated to Junction was increased compared to the previous funding installment.
