The two Northern Tasmanian sides have been a class above this season, virtually untouchable except for their games against each other.

If anyone needed a reminder of how close these sides are, their season ledger also features a draw aside from the teams trading wins during the regular season.

Hawks captain Gemma Poke said the group was primed ahead of the season decider at the Silverdome.

"Playing against the Cavs in a final is just another level up again because you've got that passion and excitement from that cross-town rivalry," she said.

"You're playing for a lot more than just a standard grand final, looking forward to bringing it home for the club."

Cavaliers star Estelle Margetts said the grand final appearance underlined the team's growth throughout the year.

"I think that we really built through the season, comparing the start of the season to where we are now we have really grown as a team," she said.

The Cavaliers look likely to enter the Tasmania Netball League grand final with an unchanged team.

While some teams look to key players to shine in the big games, the Hawks are maintaining their team focus.

"One of the styles of netball that we've really prided ourselves on is taking the pressure off the individuals because as a team we're so much stronger," Poke said.

"I think that's where we've fallen apart, when we've expect people to stand up and do something extra because you lose your structures and your systems."

Poke highlighted the mid-court as a key area for the decider.

"It all just comes down to that pressure through the mid-court, if our engine room in the middle can get firing and really apply the pressure, we know that going to be the key to get us over the line," she said.

Margetts welcomed the challenge of trying to upset the reigning champions this weekend.

"Off the court we all are really good friends and we do get along but as soon as we step over that white line it is business," she said.

"It's going to be great for both teams to have the advantage of a home crowd."
