This is the vision from Josef Chromy Wines for its annual Effervescence Festival to be held in November.

Wine, food and music will be on show including more than 50 sparkling wines from Tasmania, poured by the people who grow and make them.

Tasmanian wine makers including House of Arras, Clover Hill Wines and Spring Vale Vineyard will be some of the featured producers.

The festival is now in its seventh year and General Manager of Josef Chromy Wines Shaine De Venny is excited for the event that will connect wine makers with wine lovers.

"World class sparkling wine is what we do best in Tasmania," Ms De Venny said.

"A third of the wine that comes out of Tasmania is sparkling, so it's a huge part of the industry here not just in Australia, but on the world stage."

"The Effervescence Tasmania festival is even more special in 2021, with demand for Tasmanian sparkling remaining exceptionally tight. For many participating sparkling houses, these wines are in such short supply that we are keeping stock aside just for the event.

"Last year we couldn't hold the event as it was right in the midst of COVID so this year we are having a more condensed event, which is not a bad thing as it makes the event more intimate for locals in Tasmania and those in other states.

"Tasmania is very lucky to be able to still have COVID-safe events and so we have focused on having most of the events this year at Josef Chromy, whilst still showcasing other wineries."

Attendees will be indulged with highlights of the event including the Tasmanian Sparkling Wine dinner held by international wine writer and TV host Tyson Stelzer on the Friday night.

The dinner is described as "a discovery of his top dozen Tasmanian sparkling estates of the year matched to a five-course degustation by Josef Chromy Wines Head Chef Nick Raitt".

Also on the program is The Grand Tasting held on the Saturday, which allows patrons to sample their way through more than 50 fine Tasmanian sparkling wines from 14 different producers.

Those wanting a more relaxed experience can head along to the popular Bubbles and Beats event on the Saturday evening, which will showcase "chilled bubbles and chilled beats" from resident DJ Damien Goundrie.

"Effervescence Tasmania is a great opportunity to sample wines that may not be available otherwise, and to get insider information on when the next release is available," Ms De Venny said.

The event will run from November 5 to 7.

Tickets will be on sale from Wednesday September 1.
