The Hawks spent Monday working through the disappointment of losing their first game in two years, but Poke said the team had made peace with the loss.
"We were all very disappointed after the game and there were some emotions we had to work through," she said.
"If it was going to happen to us we are glad it happened then."
The Hawks came together this week to methodically discuss what the team's strengths are ahead of the elimination final.
"[We] looked at what we do really well and we deviated from that plan," Poke said.
The Cavaliers put on a fantastic performance, recording a 100 per cent goal-scoring rate, which Poke believed was a first for the league.
Hawks weren't too far behind with a goal-scoring average of 92 per cent over the four quarters, but it wasn't enough to get them over the line.
"It was a fantastic performance from the Cavs, so with us to only lose by five goals there are some great takeaways from that," she said.
The Hawks have now refocused to this weekend's game against the Waratah.
The last time the two teams met was in Round 20, with Hawks beating Waratah by 20 points.
"We have beaten them convincingly before, but it definitely isn't a game we are taking lightly," Poke said.
"They are very capable and their defensive pressure continues the whole game so we can't afford to take the foot off."
Poke said her team was fired up for the game against Waratah.
"We don't have any injuries, we are all fit and ready to go, so another game will be really good for us," Poke said.

The two northern teams have dominated Tasmanian Netball's State League in recent years, with the past three grand finals played between the two Launceston rivals.
If the Hawks beat Waratah they will book a ticket to the fourth consecutive grand final against the Cavaliers and they'll be raring for a win after last weekend.
A grand final spot would give the Hawk the chance to be crowned champions for the third time in four years, winning in 2018 and 2020.
The Cavs have a chance to claim their second grand final victory since 2019.
