Swans coach Gene Savage said the players were pretty excited to make it this far, but they weren't peaking over the horizon to the grand final just yet.
"We are just focused on Saturday," he said.
"No matter who you're playing it's the preliminary final and if you need any extra motivation than that you're probably playing the wrong game.
"I'm sure it will be a pretty exciting game with a fair bit on the line."
Having a mix of town and coastal players had made it hard for the Swans to find their rhythm, but Savage said they'd become a very tight unit over the past eight games.
"It is the challenge of the split group, with the weekend really the only time we all see each other," he said.
Swans and OLs last met in Round 18, with East Coast winning by 14 points.
"It was a pretty close game down at home, so it should be no different this time," Savage said.
East Coast line-up is unlikely to change for Saturday's clash.
OLs suffered a heavy loss in their double-chance semi-final against Lilydale, which coach Laine Cleaver said was disappointing.
"You don't go into a semi final hoping to get beaten by 70 points, but Lilydale are a class outfit, they're an extremely good team," Cleaver said.
"We started the game well, we were in it in terms of general play, but while they kicked 5.1, we kicked 1.5 ... and then they just got too far ahead."

Cleaver said he wasn't taking too much from the OLs last clash with the Swans.
"We played them twice, earlier in the year we beat them quite comfortably," he said.
"East coast are travelling well, they beat us then, they beat St Pats last weekend. They are in form so it's going to be a good comp."
Patrick Kearney won't play this week, but William Archer will return after being under an injury cloud last week.
"He has been a really good player for a really long time."
Cleaver said from a club point of view, they were very proud of the culture built off the field.
"We are really happy we have all three teams playing in a prelim. We are really proud of the way we have turned things around over the past few years," he said.
Masks will again be mandatory at NTFA games this weekend. Footy fans are encouraged to bring their own, but disposable masks will be available at the gate.
