It's been almost eight weeks since the Torns' last tip-off and any hope of playing again hinges on Victoria's ability to contain its outbreak of the Delta variant.
Tornadoes chairman Neil Grose said the focus at the moment was on whether there could be a season, but the team would likely be without star Keely Froling if it made the grand final due to her commitments with the Opals.

"If we don't play any more home and away games, the final ladder will be determined by home and away percentage, which would put us fifth," Grose said.
If the NBL1 South season proceeds straight to finals, Grose said it would be an instant knockout, final eight series and it would be played in Victoria over three days.
Grose said he was in regular contact with NBL1 about the future of the season.
