Jay Blackberry underlined his dominant season by taking out the TSL's player of the year medal on the back of a stellar four-goal haul against Lauderdale.
"It's been a funny old season, you build up a couple of weeks for the games record side of things and we were obviously winning games," he said.
"I didn't think at 29, I'd be winning awards like these with some of the guys coming through and I still don't think I am probably in the top three best players at our club."
The TSL games record holder claimed the award for the first time in his career despite being regarded as one of the league's best players.
"I think it's something I'll reflect on obviously after finals and post-career maybe more than anything but it's obviously nice to be up there for these types of awards," he said.
Dylan Riley claimed the Hudson Medal for the TSL leading goal-kicker despite missing a large part of the season after tearing an ACL against North Launceston.
Riley was a powerhouse up forward in the first half of the year with 59 goals as defences were unable to find an answer to his attacking nous.
"Obviously quite a bad injury halfway through the year but obviously it means a fair bit to win it, obviously won it last year as well but I think this year is a little bit better in terms of the injury," he said.
"We set out a few things and goals we wanted to achieve but it just comes down to the team looking after me pretty well when I am out on the park."

Riley praised the influence coach and good mate Mitch Thorp had on him during their time together.
"He's helped me out a fair bit with personal things, on-field stuff and just stuff around the club as well so he's been a big part of my life," he said.
The award means Riley has cemented his status as the premier goal-kicker in the TSL after taking out the medal last season.
Cooper Warren completed a clean sweep of the awards for the Blues after he was awarded the leading goal-kicker in the development league.
Warren was a force to be reckoned with in attack this season, as he notched 52 goals to secure the award by 17 goals.
"It's been a massive step up for me to come to the development league and win this huge award," he said.
"This is an award I've wanted to win for my whole life to win this is huge, huge for me."
Blackberry said Warren's development was a major tick for the Blues development pathway.
"Cooper has put a great year together ... the way we've developed our program he has just come on and I can see him kicking a lot of goals into the future as well," he said.
The awards win marks the start of a crucial week for the Blues as they gear up for a fierce finals encounter with the Northern Bombers on the weekend.
