A 30-year-old Launceston man has been slapped with aggravated armed robbery, aggravated burglary and assault charges over an incident which occurred eight days ago in the early hours of Sunday morning on August 15.
Tasmania Police said they would allege two men forced entry to the Karoola home before assaulting its two occupants, a 64-year-old man, and a 28-year-old woman.
They said the man sustained a significant head injury in an alleged attack.
The accused offender will appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court this afternoon.
Police said they also allege the two men accused stole a small amount of cash.
Tasmania Police are still on the hunt for the second alleged offender and called for the public to offer up any information they had about the man by calling police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
