Echoes of Pink Floyd is an Adelaide-produced tribute act that will be heading to Tasmania as part of the Journey Through Time tour.
Band members include Daniel Hunter on lead guitar, Jason Miller on drums, Tony Coppola on bass, Paul Bindig on keyboards and synthesisers, Mark MacNab on rhythm and acoustic guitar, and Matt Goodluck on lead vocals.
"I think the thing with Pink Floyd is that they have universal appeal that doesn't seem to die away," Goodluck said.
"They seem to transcend generations and have this ongoing longevity."
Goodluck said the show would take audiences on a journey from Pink Floyd's earliest day in London's psychedelic underground all the way to when the band wound things up.
"Pink Floyd were very good with evolving over that period of time," he said.
"This is the first time we have gone all the way back to the beginning [with their music]. Maybe some audience members are only familiar with radio hits, but this is chance to get to know [some of their other work]."
The show is not just about the music for the band though, as the team works to deliver a performance with video and a great light show too.
"Certainly in a live capacity we are aware the visual aspect was so important to Pink Floyd shows, it was almost like the extra band member in a way," Goodluck said.

The last time the tribute act were in Tasmania was in 2019 to tour the 40th anniversary of The Wall.
Unfortunately, due to recent outbreaks of COVID-19 on the mainland, Echoes of Pink Floyd have seen some leg cancellations of the tour.
"We haven't performed since the beginning of June so we are very much looking forward to getting to Tasmania," Goodluck said.
"Audiences are hungry for live entertainment.
"I hope that it's just a really good feeling, and people want to come out and enjoy themselves."
Echoes of Pink Floyd will head to Launceston's Country Club on August 27. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster.
