The Northern Bombers out-shot the Magpies substantially in all four quarters to win their final game of the regular season 15.17 (101) to 5.6 (36) at UTAS Stadium on Saturday.

It didn't take long for North to jump into the driver's seat after a quick string of goals from Brad Cox-Goodyer, Brandon Leary, Nathan Pearce and Jack Avent.
Having strong mid Ben Simpson back in the line-up paid dividends for North.
Able to make his presence known on all three fronts, Cox-Goodyer said the vice-captain changed the dynamic of North's play.
"He's a strong boy and is pretty physical for a 20-year-old," he said.
"We definitely love having him out there, he just adds a bit of an edge to us - he's super important to us."
A patient Bombers team demonstrated poise at half-forward, with midfielders such as Corey Nankervis able to stretch Glenorchy's line thin.
This was also the case on the flanks, as the Pies were out-ran at every turn and missed assignments proved fatal against a finals-bound Bombers side.
Entries were few and far between for Glenorchy in the first half, with backs Ryley Sanders and Billy Edmunds absorbing as many contested marks as they could.
Leary proved disruptive in this regard on the other end, able to chase down plenty of would-be clearances to keep the ball in North's hands.

The chemistry between Pearce and player-coach Cox-Goodyer also proved lethal at half-forward, as both placed perfect kicks into tight spots as well as creating a number of scoring opportunities.
Forward Tom Donnelly showed his athleticism as well, capped with a great snapper that put North up by 49 part way through the second.
As the match progressed, Glenorchy tightened down its back-line, led by imposing tall Darrean Wyatt who routinely tossed about the smaller Bombers forwards.
Another number five: Tom Bennett managed to get separation here and there from Wyatt, including a great one-handed mark which yielded a well-placed goal.
In the second half, the Pies did what they could to prevent a Bombers steamrolling. But the speed of the home team in the midfield ensured entries aplenty for North.
This included Ollie Sanders, Avent and Jay Foon, who showed themselves as mean tackling machines against a sluggish Pies side.
Said entries, however did not necessarily equal goals for the Bombers, as plenty of shots didn't connect in the latter portion of the game.
"It was a pretty frustrating game at times," Cox-Goodyer said.
"We dominated in patches, but we didn't put it on the scoreboard like we would have liked."
Glenorchy was able to string together a couple of fruitful attacks, but celebrations were short-lived as North continued its Bombardment.
The Bombers kept Glenorchy majorless in the final quarter, while goals from Avent and Cox-Goodyer sugar-coated their victory.
North will now move on to face Launceston next week in the qualifying final.
"It's gonna be a cracker, we're under no illusion to the task that's ahead of us," Cox-Goodyer said.
"I've emphasised to the guys that they've done everything they need to do to get themselves into a position to be able to have a crack at them.
"No one thought we would've finished second so we've already taken a massive step forward."
