The 15-year-old Launceston Christian School student will be hosting a shootout event to raise money for Boots For All: a charity that breaks down barriers to sport by providing gear to kids who can't afford it.
Marshall initially came up with the idea for the event for a school project, tasking students with raising as much money as possible with $10.
"We needed to figure something out to make as much money as we can and donate it to a charity of our choice," Marshall said.
"I chose Boots For all because it's a charity that supports helping people get boots and stuff and getting it to people in need.
"It's important - having the opportunity to play with the right equipment, and get all the chances they need to do what they love and enjoy what they're doing."
ELSEWHERE IN SPORT:
Marshall plays left wing for the Northern Rangers in under-16s, and leads that competition in goals by two.
Having played since he was five years old, he said soccer had always been an important part of his life, and believed every kid deserved the chance to enjoy sports as he does.
"Some people turn up to soccer and don't have the right equipment and they're not able to play," Marshall said.
"Then, they're not able to play to their full potential."
The event, named Aussie's Shoot Out, will be held on September 29 at the Christian School oval.
There, Marshall will undertake a number of challenges including trying to break world records in shooting goals as well as having people donate and attempt to stop one of his own goals.
People and businesses can also sponsor a square, which Marshall will try to score a goal from.
As if that wasn't enough, Marshall will also try to see how many goals he can score in an hour.
"Yeah I'm ready, I'll give it my best shot," he said.
