After a tumultuous 18 months, Tasmanian Leaders is running a new course designed to help tackle the constantly changing industry.
Previously operating courses for leaders in small business, it's a new foray for chief executive Angela Driver, who said the initial day had seen strong discussions between participants.
"We're talking about the future of the industry, what skills and leadership capacities we need, and then we're going to try and bridge that gap and help them develop in the ways they need to develop," she said.
"A lot of the skills we're looking to develop is really that capacity to lead in uncertainty, but also to chart our own paths and our own way forwards from this.
"Resilience is really important as they adjust to COVID, there's been a lot of talk today about mental health and dealing with stress, so I'm sure that's going to be a theme.

"The common thread between everyone is this drive to do better for the tourism sector, and a passion for trying to deal with the uncertainty they're currently facing.
"It's great to see the passion and the energy in the room for that sector, so we're really excited to be working with them."
The program finishes in October.
