After the past organisers announced that they could no longer stage the event, it was feared that the much-loved community celebration would not go ahead in 2021.
However, a group of passionate Rotary Club members have partnered with Country Club Tasmania and WayFM to ensure that Launceston's favourite festive event continues.

"We are thrilled and very grateful for the support of the Country Club of Tasmania who have generously provided their lawn area- a space well placed to host such an event, particularly in the COVID world we are currently living in," event organiser Sandy Astill said.
Organisers are calling on corporate support to assist them in ensuring the carols are a free event for the Launceston community.

"It is important that all families have access to this event, regardless of their financial situation," committee chairperson and sponsorship director Lex Van Dongen said.
The organisers welcome inquiries from anyone who would like to offer in-kind and financial support, as well as local singers and dancers who would like to audition.

It comes after last month's decision from the Tamar Sunrise Rotary to step away from coordinating the iconic fundraiser, after eight years at the helm.
