Rehabilitation ward 3R has reopened at Launceston General Hospital, more than a week after it was closed due to a suspected gastro outbreak.

However, surgical ward 5B remains closed to visitors and new admissions.
With no new cases reported on Thursday or today, cleaning has commenced with the aim or re-opening the ward on Saturday.
According to infection control guidelines, wards must have 48 hours symptom free before they can re-open to the public.
Visitors to the hospital are reminded that the wearing of face masks is now compulsory - including hospital staff and carers.
