Reading over Jake Hinds' year to date, it's no surprise to see the 22-year-old topping the TSL player of the year leaderboard.

The Launceston midfielder has amassed 20 votes from 12 games - six best-on-grounds and one two-vote effort - and is averaging 25 touches and two goals a game.
He is the only player in the league's goalkicking top 10 to have goaled in every game this season, and kicked a career-high bag of five in last round's win over North Hobart.

The former Tamar Cats junior and under-15 All-Australian, who joined defender Miller Hodge in signing a one-year extension this week, attributed his stellar form to an extended run in the midfield.
"I played midfield growing up in juniors, but obviously coming into senior level as a young fella I wasn't expecting to go in there," Hinds said.
"It's been good to get back in there - it's what I know and probably where I play my best footy."
Returning to Windsor Park last year following a season in the NEAFL, Hinds has captained the Blues for much of this season in the absence of reigning TSL player of the year Jobi Harper.
Hinds led the Blues to nine wins from his 10 games at the helm before Harper returned last week to skipper out the season's remainder.
"I really enjoyed leading the boys," Hinds said.
"Jobi gave me a few tips on how he goes about it - it was a good experience obviously being a bit younger and having older players playing with me still, but it was good and I tried to embrace it and do the best I could with it.
"I've always thrived on being the leader in any team I've been in and it's definitely something I want to strive towards is leading a team sometime down the track."
Assured top spot three weeks out from finals, the Blues meet an out-of-sorts Glenorchy at Windsor Park on Saturday.
The Magpies' past month has yielded losing margins of 105, 81, 25 and 90 points, and their past three clashes with Launceston (losses by 97, 148 and 113 points) make for even tougher reading.
Making matters worse, the Magpies will be without a number of key players, with Chris Howard (concussion) joined on the sidelines by Darrean Wyatt, Brayden Webb and Cam Goodsell.
Isaac Manson, Joshua Meredith, Cooper Hills and Callum Thompson - all aged 20 or younger - have been called up.
Launceston has made just one change, recalling in-form midfielder Jay Blackberry for ruckman and fellow veteran Joe Groenewegen (managed).
The match will double as Launceston's pink match, with the Blues set to wear special jumpers to raise funds for breast cancer.
"It's been a massive thing or the club for the last few years - we started off with just the pink socks and built our way into having our pink jumpers now," Hinds said.
"It's a big cause for breast cancer so hopefully we get a few ladies down here."
The first-versus-sixth match starts at 2pm.
