Joining Launceston from OLs midway through 2019, Guy played in two TSLW grand finals and is set to play for Collingwood in the VFLW decider on Sunday.
The Pies sit as hot favourites, having not dropped a game all season, but Guy, as a member of Launceston's eerily-similar 2019 campaign, knows victory isn't assured.
"It's not an extra nerve at all, it's something that we haven't spent too much time focusing on," she said about their undefeated streak.
"Obviously we are aware of it but I think if anything it's just given us that extra confidence, we know we've beaten them before so we know we can do that again."
Moving to Victoria for personal-training opportunities, the 24-year-old has been with the Magpies since November, playing 12 games for two best-players appearances and a goal.
"We have a huge variety of depth in the team, a lot of great stronger players so it's good to be able to play alongside them.
"I think when you're playing around better people, they bring you up as well. Playing at a bit of a higher standard allows you to improve quite quickly as well.
"It's quite a fast-paced game [compared to TSLW], so with the decision making you've got to be quick otherwise you'll get tackled."
Like most sporting competitions around Australia, the VFLW has faced several COVID-19 interruptions throughout the year, with Collingwood having not played a match since July 10.
That win over Essendon saw them automatically progress to the grand final but their opponents Geelong played last weekend to qualify, something Guy isn't worrying about.
"We've been able to adapt quite well, out of our previous games where we've had to come out of lockdown we've done pretty well so we are hoping that we can do the same on the weekend," she said.
"Geelong are quite a tough physical side so we are going to have to bring that physicality and match, if not beat, their physicality.
"It's always been a tough contest but if we can just control the ball and play our game, we should be fine."
Enjoying herself within the VFLW system at the moment, Guy said she didn't nominate for this season's AFLW draft, which was held last week and saw three Tasmanians picked up.
While admitting "she is unsure what the future holds", the former Northern Hawks netballer could be one to join the growing ranks of Launceston players to have played in the national competition.
