Even the heartache of being denied a first win of the season by an injury-time equaliser could not prevent Riverside coach Alex Gaetani from heaping praise on three defensive stalwarts.

Dwayne Walsh's 93rd-minute leveller saw Clarence salvage a 2-2 draw at Windsor Park on Saturday but Gaetani remained immensely proud with how his backline is coping.
The return of keeper Dan Nash from suspension has stemmed the flow of goals conceded while Tom Prince and Ryan McCarragher are forming a solid combination between full-backs Jasper King and Sam Davis.
Both centre-backs are also dangerous in the opposition box, Prince contributing four goals to the cause and McCarragher showing his centre-forward background with the poacher's strike which had looked like being the match-winner.
"They are immense those two," Gaetani said. "Clarence like to get the ball long and deep into those areas and those two are experts in dealing with that. There were heaps of positives for us from that game, they produced a lot of skilful play and the defensive shape was excellent."
Also catching the eye has been young Max Reissig who grows in confidence with every game.
With experienced duo Taylor Neilson and Luca Vigilante hampered by niggling injuries, Reissig has made the defensive midfield role his own and produced several barnstorming runs into opposition territory, one of which led to a penalty against his old side in the derby at Prospect.
"Max has been amazing this year," Gaetani said.
"He's got huge amounts of courage and skill whether at full-back or centre-back or as a defensive midfielder. He's such a skilful young lad and will be a star of this competition, if he's not already."
LAUNCESTON CITY lost a prized record in last week's 1-0 loss to high-flying Glenorchy.
Despite a difficult season, City had been unbeaten at home since the second week of the campaign.
Since early-round losses to Devonport and Kingborough, Prospect Park patrons had been treated to four wins and a draw, including two thrilling 3-2 derby wins over Olympic.
Midway through a run of five home games in six fixtures, City welcome a Zebras outfit one point beneath them and lucky to have drawn last Saturday.
Devonport can virtually confirm another title when it hosts Glenorchy.
