Police allege Richard Andrew Burke, 82, attempted to murder Wendy Ann Geddes and wounded Tracey Anne Geddes by hitting her to the head and arms with a tomahawk on June 6 this year.
Magistrate Ken Stanton remanded him in custody to appear on September 14 for a preliminary proceedings application.
