The organisation is transforming the Riverside Lawn Bowls Club into a social hub to optimise the social lives of their aged care clients and clients with disability.
Construction is ongoing at the facility but Community Based Support chief executive Allyson Warrington said clients were excited by the new development.
"Our current clients have been up here to actually have a look at the facilities ... and they're really excited about the opportunities," she said.
"We've also had a lot of people who were waiting to join and use the hub as new clients."
The former bowls club is being fitted out with a kitchen update, new flooring, disability toilets and bathroom facilities as well as a new pathway and accessibility ramp.
As part of the development, the organisation will move away from their headquarters on Canning Street once construction is complete.
It will optimise Community Based Support Tasmania's established network of social hubs including facilities in Bridport and Hobart.

Ms Warrington said clients would be able to use the hub to create opportunities and social interactions that they may not have been afforded in everyday life.
"When the Riverside Hub is ready for use, our clients will be able to undertake activities, make crafts to sell at the market, swim at the pool, play bowls or croquet on the green and walk around the golf club," she said.
"Most importantly, they will be able to enjoy the social interaction with their friends within the hub."
The facility is expected to open in October with an official gala dinner for Community Based Support Tasmania families and stakeholders scheduled for November.
"We're wantining to make sure that the works are complete though so we're not ahead of ourselves and we'll have the involvement of the council and the golf club and other major stakeholders," she said.
