North Launceston defender Billy Edmunds is free to play in this week's clash with Lauderdale after successfully challenging a kneeing ban at the TSL tribunal.

The 23-year-old was initially handed a four-week ban, reduced to three weeks with an early guilty plea, following an incident in last weekend's win at North Hobart.
During a third-term scuffle, a pack of players went to ground, with Demon Tyler McGinniss left clutching his head before being assisted from the ground by trainers.

After meeting on Tuesday night, the tribunal ruled to free Edmunds of the charge.
"After viewing the video evidence and hearing further submissions by parties involved, the tribunal could not be satisfied to the required standard that it was player Edmunds' knee that had made the contact with player McGinniss' head," the tribunal report said.
North Launceston and Lauderdale will meet at 3pm Saturday at UTAS Stadium.
