Josh McGuinness, Allen Christensen and Bryce Walsh will all play on for the Southern Bombers next season as Dan Willing's men plot a return to finals.

A former AFL-listed defender, McGuinness is an under-25 state skipper who assumed sole captaincy from rugged midfielder Walsh this year.

Christensen joined Lauderdale this season as arguably the biggest recruit in TSL history, and has performed well since returning from a hamstring injury.

"To have someone of the calibre of Allen commit to our club for a further year is enormous," Willing said on social media.

"He is an extremely humble man with a passion for helping and educating people. We are very lucky to have him at our club and I look forward to working with him into the future."

A centrepiece of Lauderdale TSL sides, Walsh was sidelined with a ruptured Achilles earlier this month and could miss up to 12 months of football.

"Bryce has stepped into a coaching role this year and has done a great job with our midfield and will get an opportunity to further enhance his coaching credentials while he recovers from a ruptured Achilles," Willing aid.

"We look forward to having him back playing at some stage in the 2022 season."

Meanwhile, Launceston has locked in two key names for next season, with midfield star Fletcher Seymour and two-time best-and-fairest winner Joe Groenewegen re-signing for 2022.
