The 23-year-old was offered a four-match suspension, reduced to three weeks with an early guilty plea, following an incident in the third term of the Bombers' six-goal win at North Hobart.

A post-goal scuffle began at the 15-minute mark when tensions flared between Bomber Brandon Leary and Demon Tyler McGinnis, resulting in players from both sides wrestling on the ground.

McGinnis appeared to be struck on the head during the incident and lay on the ground for half a minute before being assisted off the ground by trainers.

Umpires initially referred Declen Chugg to the match match review panel, who later identified Edmunds as the player involved and assessed the incident as "intentional, high contact and high impact".

Elsewhere, Tiger George O'Neill accepted a reduced two-week ban for a medium-impact, front-on hit on Lauderdale's Billy Rolfe.

The hit sparked a melee in the third term of Lauderdale's two-point win, with TSL management providing "further correspondence" to both clubs this week.

Southern Bombers skipper Josh McGuinness was referred for a strike on Zach Adams during the melee, and had a one-week ban reduced to a reprimand.
