Nextra Kings Meadows Newsagency co-owner Viv Dolbey said little was known about the unclaimed ticket, but its owner stood to take home a $834,643 share of the weekend's jackpot.
She said Saturday's draw resulted in seven division one winners sharing the main prize with the Kings Meadows ticket the only winner in the state.
Ms Dolbey explained the current winner was the 24th division one ticket she had sold in 25 years, and said since owning the newsagency she had averaged almost one division one winner a year.
She said after selling so many division one tickets people had come from all over the state - seeking good fortune.
"We had one man come all the way up from Hobart last time we sold a division one," she said.
Ms Dolbey said she kept a scrapbook of all the division one tickets she had sold over the years for good luck, and explained many of her regulars held similar superstitions.
"Some keep the numbers the same, others change them each year they get older," she said.
