Strong winds and the occasional burst of rain on Monday did not deter people from strutting their stuff on the snow.
Peri O'Donnell bought her in-laws from Brisbane to the Ben Lomond to a enjoy some snow festivities for the day.
"Moved away a few years ago to Brisbane, and these are my wonderful in-laws so I am bringing them to see the snow for the first time ever," she said.
Despite the freezing conditions, the young and old, including people from Colombia, could be spotted at the top of Ben Lomond enjoying what it had to offer.
Ms O'Donnell recounted the experience of her in-laws seeing snow for the first time as they drove up Ben Lomond.
"Oh my gosh we're driving up the driveway and as it got colder and colder and you started to see snow there was this moment where everyone in the car just started screaming," she said.
Ms O'Donnell and her in-laws were looking forward to partaking in the time-honoured toboggan ride at Ben Lomond.
"I reckon we'll try some toboggan and start them off easy," she said.
"There's some mountains in Queensland like Stanthorpe that I think has some snow but it's not like this."
The Bureau of Meteorology has forecasted the chance showers and strong winds at Ben Lomond.
